I’m Robin from Germany, and currently I study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kassel. If I do not make music then I’ll do some graphic stuff or make electronics.
Can you tell us more about your music career so far?
I’m a long way from a career, but I think that’s not a bad thing. I make music for myself, as an emotional and artistic expression, and to bring balance in my life with respect to the study/design stuff.
What is the hardest part in the music producing process?
In short: to make decisions. Often you just have too many things in a project. Maybe all the elements sound great to you but it does not come to a point where it worked out properly.
Are the things that you don’t like about producing?
The last 5% until a track is done.
Tell us more about “Cluster”, what was the idea and workflow behind it?
The dictionary spits out the following definition: ”a quantity of individual particles to be regarded as a unified whole”. I’m compliant with that.
Can you describe the style of your productions?
I think my style is differs a lot, because I do not really want to commit myself to one single sound. For this I will develop a couple of different synonyms in the future.
Can you name three tracks that were influential
- Planetary Assault Systems – Rip the Cut
- Efdemin - Decay
- Nene H. – How Do You Dare To
What can we expect from you in 2020?
There will be some smaller releases, for example in January an EP on Black Mirror Recordings!
